Job summary

St Bart’s is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to support safe transportation of students to school activities, educational visits, sporting fixtures and other school-related events.

This casual role may involve after-school hours or daytime work when opportunities arise. The successful candidate will receive Midas Minibus training and a D1 licence is not essential. Salary is £15.44 per hour, including holiday pay, equating to £26,016.00 gross per year.

Job description

We are looking for a Minibus Driverto join us on as soon as possible on a casual basis.

We are looking to appoint a reliable and responsible Minibus Driver to support the safe transportation of our students to and from school activities, educational visits, sporting fixtures and other school-related events.

Although some trips are during the school day, there are a range of school fixtures and activities and therefore we would welcome applications from those who can only work after the school day finishes, as well as those during the day.

The successful candidate will be a confident and careful driver who takes pride in providing a safe, professional and friendly service to our students and staff.

Please note that the school will provide Midas Minibus training. A D1 driving licence is not essential.

HOURS: This is a zero hours contract and although appropriate work may be offered to you if it is available, there is no obligation for the school to do so and you are under no obligation to accept any work offered.

SALARY: £15.44 per hour which includes holiday pay and will be paid on a casual timesheet basis (equates to a salary of £26016.00 gross pa).

St Bart’s is a leading academy school (1938 on roll with a Sixth Form of 586) in West Berkshire. Road links are good as we are close to the A34 and M4, as well as excellent public transport and within walking distance of Newbury train station.
