Job summary

Haileybury is an outstanding independent co-educational boarding and day school of around 900 pupils aged 11 to 18, established in 1862 and located on a 500-acre estate in Hertfordshire. This role supports pupils by safely transporting them to and from school, with term-time evening shifts and potential extra hours as needed.

• Carry out general care of the vehicle before and after each school run.
• Cover shifts Mon-Fri 6:25 pm – 8:25 pm during term time; may be required to work additional hours as needed.

Haileybury wishes to appoint a Minibus Driver to take pupils to and from school at the start and end of the school day.

Role

The purpose of the Minibus Driver role is to safely transport pupils to and from the School, ensuring they arrive in time for the commencement of the school day and are collected punctually after school, during term time. Being responsible for the safety, comfort and welfare of the pupils, the post-holder must handle general care of the vehicle before and after each school run. In addition, the role will involve any other reasonable driving requests.

The successful applicant will hold a current driving licence with the required categories (D/D1) and will ideally have experience of driving a coach or minibus.

The Minibus Driver is required to cover the following shifts during term time; Monday-Friday, 6.25 pm - 8.25 pm. The post-holder will be required to work reasonable additional hours as necessary for the proper performance of their duties.
