Job summary

Bachy Soletanche Limited is seeking a dedicated asset management specialist for Mini Piling assets. You will develop an end-to-end MP asset management process, build a comprehensive asset register, and implement QA-driven inspection methods to uplift workshop capability.

You will mentor mechanics, introduce standardized inspection protocols, and provide lifecycle recommendations for asset categories while supporting CapEx planning and risk-based prioritization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Mini Piling equipment and tooling.
• Strong mechanical background with diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to less experienced colleagues.
• Good understanding of equipment inspection techniques and QA processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CSCS card desirable.
• Full UK driving licence desirable for site travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Mini Piling Asset Management Process.
• Deliver a complete MP asset register.
• Develop three documented processes: Asset registration & updating procedure, Asset relationship mapping procedure, Condition grading & action recommendation method.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support CapEx planning, including identifying assets nearing end-of-life and replacement priorities.
• Complete a Full Condition Assessment Programme and introduce a Standard Inspection Method.
• Develop a programme for inspecting 100% of MP assets.
• Produce a standard inspection procedure and damage report framework adopted by the workshop team.
• Provide a lifecycle recommendation (repair / refurb / replace) for each asset category.
• Deliver a Mini Piling Technical Upskilling Programme for Plant Mechanics.
• Provide mentoring, toolbox talks, and practical guidance to improve mechanic competence in MP systems.

The Role

Provide clarity on Mini Piling assets, improve equipment standards, and uplift workshop capability through structured processes, condition assessments and targeted knowledge transfer.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and Implement a Mini Piling Asset Management Process
• Deliver a complete MP asset register.
• Develop three documented processes: Asset registration & updating procedure, Asset relationship mapping procedure, Condition grading & action recommendation method
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support CapEx planning, including identification of critical assets nearing end-of-life and potential replacement priorities.
• Complete a Full Condition Assessment Programme and Introduce a Standard Inspection Method
• Develop a programme for the inspection of 100% of MP assets
• Produce a standard inspection procedure and damage report framework adopted by the workshop team.
• Provide a lifecycle recommendation (repair / refurb / replace) for each asset category.
• Deliver a Mini Piling Technical Upskilling Programme for Plant Mechanics
• Provide mentoring, participate in toolbox talks, and practical guidance to improve mechanic competence in MP systems, equipment operation, inspection and fault diagnosis.
• Organise structured training sessions with relevant OEMS / Suppliers.
• Conduct baseline and final skills assessments for each mechanic.
• Demonstrate a minimum 20% improvement in team competency scores.
• Act as primary technical reference for MP queries throughout the period.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience with Mini Piling equipment, systems and tooling.
• Strong mechanical background with proven diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to less experienced colleagues.
• Good understanding of equipment inspection techniques and QA processes.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Appropriate CSCS card. (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence (desirable for site travel).
