Job summary

Dorset Council UK is recruiting a Casual Mini Bus Driver to transport students after school activities in Ferndown. The role is casual and hours depend on school needs, with payment on completion of a time sheet.

Applicants should have a D1 driving licence; MiDAS certificate or willingness to undertake training is required. Previous minibus driving experience is an advantage, and a reliable, patient approach with students is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students on the school minibus for after-school activities, PE and sports clubs, revision sessions, detentions, fixtures and events.
• Carry out regular vehicle safety checks, fuelling and cleaning of the minibus to required standards.
• Complete a logbook and driving records for each journey.
• Report any vehicle defects, damage or accidents to the Business Manager or Site Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for students and staff.

CASUAL MINI BUS DRIVER

We are looking to recruit a Mini Bus Driver on a casual contract to join our friendly team.

The role is primarily after school hours, providing safe transportation for students attending a range of school activities, including PE and sports clubs, after-school clubs, revision sessions, detentions, fixtures and other school events.

Previous experience of driving a minibus would be an advantage. Your driving licence must include the D1 category. Candidates will either need to hold a current MiDAS certificate or be willing to undertake this mandatory training.

Hours will be offered based on school need with as much notice as possible. Payment for hours worked will be on completion of a time sheet.
