Job description

Job Title: Mini Bus Driver

We are seeking an experienced mini bus driver for our client in Exeter. The role involves driving a school mini bus to designated pick-up points, collecting students, and dropping them off at school and back.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid CPC card with PCV requirements
• Valid Tachograph card
• No more than 3 penalty points (for insurance purposes)
• Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities:

• Drive the school mini bus to pick-up points, collect students, and transport them to school in the morning.
• Ensure students are returned to their original pick-up points at the end of the day.
• Maintain a courteous and welcoming manner when dealing with students, parents, and staff.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Specific Duties:

• Record mileage at the beginning and end of each shift accurately.
• Keep the mini bus clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure the mini bus has sufficient fuel for daily operations.

Working Conditions:

• Monday to Friday, during term time only.
• Start times approximately 06:00 - 08:30 and 15:45 - 18:00.
• Pay rate starts at £12.05 per hour, plus an additional £1.45 per hour, totaling £13.50 per hour (PAYE advanced).
