Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking confident Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Milton Keynes. You will lead lessons during short-term staff absences, ensuring students stay engaged with pre-planned work.

The ideal candidate will have experience with young people, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in education. Roles offer flexible scheduling and opportunities for long-term placements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, or support roles.
• Confident at managing groups of students aged 11–16.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills.
• Adaptable, resilient and professional in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across subjects using work set by teaching staff.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students stay engaged and complete tasks.
• Support pupils with questions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
