Job summary

Allied Mills, part of Associated British Foods, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer at our Belfast flour mill. The successful candidate will perform planned, predictive and reactive maintenance across production equipment to ensure safety, quality and maximum plant utilisation.

Hours are Mon–Fri 8am–5pm (37.5 hrs/week) with a call out 1 in every 3 weeks. You will work with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement, uphold health and safety, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Experience with mechanical drive couplings, chains, belts and bearings.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, control systems and PLC interaction.
• Strong health and safety awareness and food safety awareness desirable.
• Computer literate and able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
• Ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiencies.
• Uphold health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools.
