Job summary

Jewson in Swansea is seeking a Mill Machinist to join our Beaufort Rd, Swansea branch. This is a full-time, site-based role with training provided and a Monday-Friday plus alternating Saturday 7:30–11:30 schedule.

No prior experience required as full training will be given; you’ll operate timber-processing machinery, follow safety procedures and help meet production targets while supporting the mill team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor timber-processing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Cut, plane, mould and machine timber to customer specifications.

• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Identify and report machinery faults or maintenance needs.
• Complete production records and documentation accurately.
• Support the wider mill team and meet production targets.
