Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 Milk Tanker Drivers for farm collections in Evercreech, Somerset. Earn competitive pay with weekly wages and regular shifts through our dairy distribution client, Gregory Distribution. Starts are in the afternoons (14:00–16:00) with immediate starts available.

Typical weekly earnings start from 800 GBP based on 50 hours; holiday pay accrues. Roles include 2–3 days of role-specific training, in-cab cameras, and ongoing support from our team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Minimum 1 year experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Independent and safety‑focused approach.
• Willingness to complete farm collection training.

Responsibilities

• Farm milk collections from dairy farms to processing sites.
• Afternoon start times between 14:00 and 16:00.
• Safely operate milk tankers, including loading and transfers.
• Complete milk sampling and documentation per site procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain hygiene.
