Job summary

HG Recruitment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Milk Tanker Drivers for farm collections in Evercreech, Somerset. You will collect milk from farms and transport to processing sites with afternoon start times (14:00–16:00) and training provided. Regular weekly pay, 24/7 support and company pension are offered.

Expect approximately 2–3 days of role-specific training and ongoing driver support. Proof of Right to Work in the UK required. Registration applies.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence (Category C+E).
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform farm milk collections, transporting to processing sites.
• Adhere to start times (14:00–16:00) and drive safely.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain hygiene.
• Complete milk sampling and site documentation.
• Comply with tachograph rules and WTR.

HGV Class 1 Milk Tanker Drivers – Farm Collections | Evercreech, Somerset

Afternoon Starts (14:00-16:00) | Immediate Starts

Pay Rates: holiday pay is accrued or included- Days £16.00-£19.14- Nights £18.25-£21.39***Estimated weekly earnings from £800 based on 50 hours at the weekday daytime rate, before deductions. ***

The role

• Farm milk collections only, collecting from dairy farms and transporting to designated processing sites.
• Afternoon start times between 14:00 and 16:00.
• Safely operate milk tankers, including loading, unloading and liquid transfers.
• Complete milk sampling and collection documentation in line with site procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Follow drivers' hours, tachograph and Working Time Regulations.
• Approximately 2-3 days of training provided, covering farm collection procedures, tanker operations and safe liquid transfers.
• In-cab cameras and monitoring systems are active.

Requirements

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence.
• Minimum experience 1 Year
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Confidence working independently and following site safety procedures.
• A reliable, professional and safety-focused approach.
• Willingness to complete the required farm collection training.
