Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is hiring a Milk Filling Operative Level 3 at Bellshill Dairy ML4 3NY. This full-time, permanent role involves operating milk filling and processing equipment, monitoring quality, and maintaining hygiene and safety across rotating shifts (5:30am-2pm; 2pm-10:30pm).

You will document production records, support continuous improvement and help develop colleagues while upholding high standards of safety and quality in a busy dairy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or FMCG environments.
• Experience operating production machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Ability to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately.
• Experience working rotating shift patterns.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate milk filling and processing equipment in line with SOPs and site standards.
• Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and safety.
• Maintain high hygiene and environmental standards with a clean-as-you-go approach.
• Carry out equipment checks and asset care to maximise performance and minimise downtime.
• Replenish production materials and support smooth filling/processing operations.
• Complete production records and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Conduct laboratory and chemical testing as required and respond to results.
• Support continuous improvement activities and root cause investigations.
• Assist in training colleagues and promote a safe team culture.
• Identify risks and follow safe working practices.

Do you have experience working across shifts in a busy manufacturing, production or food processing environment?

Join our fast-paced Bellshill Dairy as a Milk Filling Operative Level 3, where you'll play a key role in producing high-quality dairy products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, hygiene and operational excellence.

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Shift: 5/7 days, rotating 5:30am-2pm and 2pm-10:30pm

What Will You Be Doing

• Operate milk filling and processing equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and site standards.
• Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, food safety and compliance with customer specifications and CCP requirements.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and environmental compliance through a clean-as-you-go approach.
• Carry out equipment checks and asset care activities to maximise performance, minimise downtime and reduce waste.
• Replenish production materials and support the smooth running of filling and processing operations.
• Complete production records, quality documentation and system transactions accurately and on time.
• Conduct laboratory and chemical testing where required and respond appropriately to results.
• Support continuous improvement activities, problem solving and root cause investigations to improve operational performance.
• Assist in the training and development of colleagues, sharing best practice and supporting a positive team culture.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture by identifying risks, reporting issues and always following safe working practices.

What Are We Looking For

• Experience working within a manufacturing, production, food processing or FMCG environment.
• Previous experience operating production machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Ability to follow procedures, complete documentation accurately and maintain attention to detail.
