Job summary

Amey Group Services LTD in West Yorkshire is recruiting a Vehicle and Military Plant Technician to maintain and repair a modern fleet of military vehicles and defence equipment, with full technical and military training provided.

Applicants with automotive, plant or HGV backgrounds are welcomed; you will work to high safety and engineering standards, maintaining clear maintenance records and pursuing long-term career development.

Qualifications

Candidates should have strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience servicing or repairing vehicles, machinery or mobile equipment.
Backgrounds from automotive, plant or military support roles are welcomed; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Servicing and repairing military vehicles, plant and material-handling equipment.
Completing planned and preventative maintenance.
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
Investigating breakdowns and carrying out repairs.
Replacing and rebuilding mechanical components.
Inspecting and preparing equipment for operational use.
Completing accurate electronic maintenance records.
Identifying and ordering replacement parts.
Working to strict safety, quality and engineering standards.
