The role is full-time, permanent, with a 45-hour week and overtime available. A valid Right to Work in the UK is required, and you will contribute to meeting production deadlines while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: Right to work in the UK
• Proven MIG/TIG welding experience (mild steel)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in the manufacturing/engineering industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent manual dexterity and good English

Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and maintain MIG welding machines and related equipment
• MIG welding on mild steel
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute projects
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure customer specifications
• Use measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to inspect parts
• Diagnose and troubleshoot welding-related issues
• Carry out general fabrication tasks (cutting, grinding, drilling)
• Ensure production deadlines are met
• Report issues to Production Supervisors
