Job summary

Kinetic plc in Sheffield is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a busy engineering workshop. You will weld 4mm+ mild steel, build jigs from scratch and fabricate assemblies from detailed drawings, including vehicle interiors and large fabricated structures.

The role offers a permanent pathway with temp-to-perm progression, 40-hour weeks and a pension plus competitive benefits once permanent. Excellent transport links from the city centre are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Time served or highly experienced MIG Welder.
• Strong jig building and fabrication skills.
• Confident welding 4mm+ mild steel unassisted.
• Ability to work accurately from drawings.
• Experience with vehicle interiors or heavy fabrication is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding mild steel (4mm+) and completing tests.
• Building jigs from scratch for production and project builds.
• Working from engineering drawings to fabricate assemblies.
• Welding and assembling vehicle interiors, crushers and large fabricated structures.
• Supporting new product builds, prototypes and bespoke fabrication work.
• Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment.
