Ambitions Personnel is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a local client’s friendly, close-knit team in a long-term, temp-to-perm role. The position focuses on MIG welding, fabricating components to drawing specifications, and maintaining high-quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate thrives in a practical, hands-on environment, can work independently or with a small team, and is reliable and punctual.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience is essential.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings is essential.
• TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable.
• Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of various components and structures.
• Reading and working from basic drawings and specifications.
• Preparing, cutting, measuring and assembling materials.
• Carrying out welding to a high standard.
• Inspecting finished work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Using workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assisting with general fabrication and workshop duties.
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Getting involved in other workshop tasks as required.
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
