Job summary

Accept Recruitment is recruiting a MIG Welder Fabricator for a Hinckley workshop. The role involves MIG welding heavy mild steel plates (18–20mm) and fabricating structural and architectural steelwork from engineering drawings in a strictly workshop setting.

The position is 39 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm and Friday mornings, with a 13-week temporary assignment leading to a permanent role for the right person. Training will be provided on larger projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years MIG welding experience.
• Able to read fabrication drawings.
• Experience with heavy mild steel plates (18–20mm).
• Reliable with good work attitude.
• Able to travel to Hinckley for early starts.

MIG Welder Fabricator

Hinckley | £15.50 per hour | Temp to Perm | Monday–Friday, days

Accept Recruitment is working with an established structural and architectural steel fabrication company in Hinckley. They're looking for an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join their workshop team.

The company makes steel frame buildings, mezzanine floors, staircases, balconies and bespoke architectural metalwork. Most of the work is one-off fabrication rather than production line work, so no two weeks are the same.

This is a 13-week temp-to-perm role, with a permanent position at the end for the right person.

The role

• MIG welding heavy mild steel plate, 18–20mm
• Fabricating structural and architectural steelwork from engineering drawings
• Workshop-based role, with no site work
• Training given on larger structural steel projects

What we're looking for

• 3+ years\' MIG welding experience
• Confident on heavy, thick mild steel plate
• Able to read and work from fabrication drawings
• Reliable, with a good attitude to work
• Able to get to Hinckley for an early start

What\'s on offer

• £15.50 per hour
• Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–4:00pm. Friday finish around 12pm.
• Around 39 hours a week, with overtime available
