Job summary

Masstemps is currently recruiting an experienced MIG Fabricator Welder to join a busy manufacturing company near the Telford area. The role involves MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components to customer specifications, and reading engineering drawings.

You will measure, mark out and prepare parts, assemble components and produce clean, accurate welds using grinders, drills and saws. Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, with a pay rate of £13.50–£14.50 per hour depending on

Qualifications

• Experience as MIG Welder or similar fabrication role.
• Able to read engineering drawings and interpret welding specs.
• Comfortable measuring, marking out and assembling components before welding.
• Ability to produce neat, high-quality welds on mild steel.
• Experience with grinders, drills and saws in fabrication environments.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder or similar fabrication role.
• Strong MIG welding and ideally have fabrication experience, particularly working with mild steel.
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Confident measuring, marking out and assembling components prior to welding.
• Experience using fabrication tools and machinery, including grinders, drills and saws.
• Able to produce good-quality welds with a neat finish.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes and working with different steel thicknesses.
• Good attention to detail and able to work accurately to customer specifications.
• Previous experience working on bespoke, one-off or low-volume fabrication would be advantageous.
• Reliable, practical and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday – 07:30am – 16:00pm

PAY RATE

£13.50ph - £14.50ph depending on experience
