MIG Welder role in York is with our manufacturing client, reading drawings to cut, shape and weld mild or stainless steel parts on the day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:30–16:30).

We require an experienced welder with a background in high-precision manufacturing and strong communication skills. You will be paid up to £17 per hour depending on experience.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in high precision manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Help construct and fit heavy-duty machinery frames, hoppers, and mechanical assemblies.

We are recruiting for an experienced Mig Welder to work for our client who are located in York

THE DUTIES OF A WELDER:

• Fabrication & Welding: Read and interpret engineering drawings to cut, shape, and weld metal parts (typically mild/stainless steel) using standard workshop techniques.
• Assembly Support: Help construct and fit heavy-duty machinery frames, hoppers, and mechanical assemblies.
• Quality & Accuracy: Inspect finished welds and components against technical specifications and quality standards.
• Workshop Maintenance: Keep tools, welding equipment, and the work area clean, safe, and organized

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background
• Excellent communication skills

THE HOURS:

Working on days – Monday – Friday 7.30 to 4.30

THE PAY:

You will earn an hourly rate of up to £17 an hour depending on experience.
