Job summary

SER Limited in Beverley is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our fabrication team. You will weld fabricated components to drawings, set up equipment, and ensure quality with strong attention to detail.

Preference is given to candidates who can read engineering drawings and follow strict safety procedures. The role offers a 36.5-hour week, overtime options, and a competitive hourly rate of £20, with pension and life-insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG/TIG welding experience in fabrication, engineering or heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong MIG and TIG welding skills.
• Experience with preparation, measuring, grinding, drilling and finishing.

Responsibilities

• Weld MIG and TIG components to drawings and specs.
• Prepare, align and tack-weld components.
• Set up and safely operate welding equipment.
• Check finished work for quality and accuracy.
• Report defects or production issues to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace.
• Follow Health & Safety and quality procedures.
