Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG welder for a busy engineering workshop in Harwich, Essex. You will weld and fabricate from drawings, following engineering specs to produce high-quality welded assemblies.

Hours are Mon-Fri, 07:15–16:00, 40 hours weekly with time-and-a-third overtime. A team-oriented communicator with safety awareness is preferred; welding certifications are advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong team player with good communication and safety awareness.
• Welding certifications (coding) would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding to manufacture components.
• Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish).
• Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.
