Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator to join their well-established client in Skelmersdale on a permanent basis. The role offers an excellent hourly rate, sociable hours, and a friendly manufacturing environment.

Typical duties include operating MIG/TIG welders, reading engineering drawings, fabricating components, and finishing welds to a high standard. Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with on-site parking.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to a high standard

• Mark out, cut and assemble fabricated components
• Fettling, grinding and polishing welded parts to finish
• Inspect welds and measure accuracy using calipers and rulers
• Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety

MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator - Skelmersdale

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent hourly rate, sociable working hours, and the chance to join a friendly and progressive manufacturing business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a MIG Welder, TIG Welder, Welder Fabricator, Fabricator Welder, Sheet Metal Fabricator, or Skilled Fabricator.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• 39 hours per week
• Flexible working hours between 08:00 - 16:30

Rates of Pay:

£19.10 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Operating MIG and TIG welding equipment to a high standard
• Switching between welding processes depending on material thickness and joint specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical blueprints
• Marking out, cutting, and assembling fabricated components
• Fettling, grinding, and polishing welded parts to achieve the required finish
• Inspecting completed welds and checking dimensional accuracy using measuring equipment including calipers, squares, and tape measures
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and health and safety

Essential Skills

• Relevant MIG and TIG welding qualifications
• Previous experience in both MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Proven metal fabrication experience
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Experience working with a variety of metals and fabrication techniques
