Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in South Birmingham is seeking an experienced Welder skilled in MIG and TIG welding and fabrication to join our busy workshop.

You will read engineering drawings, ensure high-quality welds and safe operation of equipment, and work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with regular overtime opportunities.

Coding welders welcomed; other duties include fabrication and inspecting finished work to meet specs.

Qualifications

• Experience in TIG welding and metal fabrication (preferred).
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Coded welding qualifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality MIG welding on a variety of metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Perform fabrication and assembly work where required.
• Complete TIG welding tasks when needed.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Operate welding equipment and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Experienced Welder (MIG/TIG/Fabrication)

Location: South Birmingham

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Welder to join our growing team in South Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder seeking a long-term position with competitive pay and regular overtime opportunities.

The role is primarily focused on MIG welding, although experience in TIG welding and fabrication is highly desirable. Applications from coded welders are particularly welcomed.
