Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is seeking an experienced MIG/Spot Welder for our busy structural steelwork manufacturing team. The role involves welding, assembly, and ensuring components meet drawings and specifications. You should be comfortable handling large steel parts and maintaining high-quality standards.

You will read engineering drawings, follow welding procedures, and work to production targets. Hours are 45 per week, with overtime and progression opportunities in a long-term, temp-to-perm

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG welding and/or spot welding within structural steelwork or heavy fabrication environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding structural steel components (largely mild steel).
• Spot welding and tack welding assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
