Job description

Midwife for : Enhanced Midwifery Continuity of Carer (MCoC) Wren Team

In line with the NHS 3-year delivery plan for maternity and neonatal services and the national Core20PLUS5 strategy, we are establishing Enhanced Midwifery Continuity of Carer (MCoC) teams. These teams will provide additional support for women and people living in the most deprived areas, aiming to reduce inequalities in maternity and neonatal outcomes. We seek compassionate, highly motivated midwives to join our teams providing enhanced MCoC for women, birthing people, and their families. This role involves a shift-based continuity model of care, where you will team caseload women and birthing people.

Main duties of the job

You must be a competent and confident midwife, practicing across the full scope of midwifery. Demonstrating compassionate behavior towards women, birthing people, and their families is essential, along with respecting equality and diversity and empowering women and birthing people to be partners in their care. The role requires being on call for intrapartum care, possessing a valid driving license, and having access to a car, as travel may be extensive. This team addition complements the current staffing model.
