Job summary

Weboaf in London is seeking a Design Lead to translate complex science and frontier tech into world-class visual design. You will shape brand & web design from initial moodboards to final delivery, working with a creative director and subcontractors in a collaborative hybrid setup.

The role requires a keen eye for typography and systems thinking, plus strong communication to defend design decisions and incorporate feedback from investors, partners, and future employees.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in digital design with a strong portfolio.
• Excellent typography, composition and small-detail craftsmanship.
• Proactive ownership and ability to challenge briefs.
• Mastery of Figma for end-to-end design workflows.
• Comfort with AI tools to accelerate ideation and execution.
• Interest in frontier technology, startups and venture capital.

Position Overview

We're looking for an exceptional designer to join our London team full-time. Your role will be to translate complex science and technology into world-class visual design. Your work will help our clients build understanding, credibility, and trust with high-stakes audiences like investors, strategic partners & future employees.

You’ll work with venture backed tech founders to deliver exceptional brand & web designs from initial moodboards to final delivery. You’ll be on a team with a creative director and a team of specialist subcontractors.

Compensation

• Salary: £32,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience
• Employment: Full-time, 5 days per week
• Working arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days in office
• Location: Soho Works, White City, London
• Annual leave: 25 days + 8 UK bank holidays
• Equipment: MacBook and all necessary software subscriptions
