Job summary

RSK Group is seeking an Environmental Manager to support major development and infrastructure projects across the Midlands. You will provide environmental leadership on live sites, ensuring compliance with planning conditions and regulatory requirements while working with diverse project teams.

The role involves engaging with contractors, planners, and technical specialists to deliver practical environmental solutions and drive continual improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental management for construction/infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of post-planning obligations and site-wide compliance.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical on-site actions.
• Experience engaging with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance across construction phases.
• Ensure implementation of permits, plans and consent requirements on site.
• Provide practical environmental guidance to project teams.
• Monitor environmental performance and drive continual improvement.
• Conduct environmental audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulators, clients and internal specialists.
• Promote best practices and environmental culture across projects.
