Job summary

EveryMatrix Ltd., a leading iGaming SaaS provider, invites a Middle Java Developer to join our London team. You will shape data-driven decision-making across our CRM platform, building robust microservices and driving value for operators.

You will work with Java 21+, Spring Boot, Kafka and SQL databases to deliver scalable solutions. The role blends hands-on coding with cross-functional collaboration in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Linux and bash scripting.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Experience with Kafka; Avro experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance microservice applications using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Design scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
• Work with relational and OLAP databases, writing efficient SQL queries in PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
• Develop code to process complex data structures to/from Kafka.
• Ensure best practices in microservice architectures, including API design, scalability and security.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Front End, Product and QA; participate in code reviews.

About the job:

This is a rare opportunity to shape how data-driven decision-making works at scale across an iGaming CRM platform — both from the inside and for the operators who rely on it. As Data Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of product and commercial impact. You will define what “good” looks like for player engagement, build the analytical foundations that power our CRM platform’s insight layer, and work directly with operators to translate raw data into strategies that grow retention, lifetime value, and campaign performance. You will not just report on what happened - you will define what should be measured, why it matters, and how to act on it. This role is as much about influence and expertise as it is about analysis.

What You'll get to do:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance microservice applications using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
• Work with relational and OLAP databases, writing efficient SQL queries in PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
• Develop code to process complex data structures to / from Kafka.
• Ensure best practices in microservice architectures, including API design, scalability and security.
• Collaborate closely with other team members, including DevOps, Front End, Product and QA
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Good experience with developing on Linux and a familiarity with bash scripting.
• Experience with SQL databases and writing optimised queries.
• Experience with ClickHouse is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Kafka (experience with Avro is a plus but not required).
• Experience with a wide range of enterprise Java and Spring components, including Spring Data JPA.
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with stream processing frameworks such as Apache Flink is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with SSO mechanisms including OpenID is a plus but not required.
• A basic understanding of core microservice components such as service discovery, API gateway and service monitoring.
• Previous exposure to the gaming / sports betting industry is a plus but not required.
• Solid understanding of microservice architectures and best practices.
• Experience with AI code assistance tools such as Gemini and Claude, and a desire to work with an AI-first mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile environment.
• An ability to pay close attention to detail whilst also seeing the big picture.
• More than anything, we are looking for candidates who are good communicators, curious and inquisitive, and who love solving problems both individually and as part of a team.
