Job summary

bet365 in Manchester is seeking a Software Developer to deliver low-latency, resilient systems and drive high-throughput event-based services using Golang, TypeScript, React, SQL and Kafka deployed to GKE.

You will work across the full stack, tackle complex technical challenges, explore open-source technologies, and collaborate with the Martech and PAM Platform to enable dynamic reward features; hybrid work option is available.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with web client or server-side development.
• Proficiency with Golang, TypeScript, React, SQL, Kafka or Apache Flink.
• Background delivering software in continuous change environments.
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance developer productivity.
• Clear technical communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven grasp of modern software development methodologies and engineering practices.
• Understanding of automation, CI pipelines and developer tooling.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Job Description

Deliver low-latency, resilient systems as a Software Developer, driving high-throughput event based services.

Make a direct impact by building distributed, event-driven architectures that handle millions of live events every day. The Martech and PAM Platform department builds scalable solutions that enable colleagues across the business to launch dynamic reward features quickly and independently.

Working across the full stack, the role focuses on Golang, TypeScript, React, SQL and Kafka, with systems deployed to GKE. You will tackle complex technical challenges, explore open-source technologies, and bring innovative ideas to life in a collaborative, delivery-driven setting.

This role is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid work from home policy.
