Job summary

Suffolk County Council's Hillside Special School is seeking a Midday Supervisory Support Assistant (MDSA) / Relief LSA to join our friendly team. The post is permanent, term-time only, 6 hours 40 minutes per week, 12 pm to 1:20 pm, with 92 pupils on roll.

Applicants should be calm, resilient and patient, with a good sense of humour. There is an opportunity to take extra hours as Relief Learning Support Assistants.

• Supervise pupils during midday breaks and lunch routines.

Hillside Special Schoolare seekinga highly motivated Midday Supervisory Support Assistant (MDSA) /Relief LSAto join the very friendly and supportive team at our all-age special school for pupils with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. We have 92 children on roll.

Midday Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs) may be required to work with pupils of any age and ability. Emotional and physical resilience, the ability to stay calm in challenging situations, patience and a good sense of humour are all very important.

MDSAs also have the opportunity to work additional hours as Relief Learning Support Assistants (Casual Contract). This can be any amount of hours over the course of a week assisting pupils in the classroom.
