Job summary

Neston Primary School in Corsham, Wiltshire, is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to supervise lunchtimes and support pupils during play. The role involves engaging children in safe, constructive activities and upholding the school’s Ready, Respectful and Safe ethos.

You will work with colleagues to supervise the dining hall and ensure a calm environment. The post is permanent, part-time (12:15–13:15, Monday and Tuesday), with safeguarding checks required.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Willingness to attend safeguarding and relevant training.
• Positive and collaborative approach with children.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and caring for children during lunchtimes.
• Engaging children in active, purposeful play.
• Ensuring behaviour aligns with the school's policy: Ready, Respectful and Safe.
• Responding promptly to Health & Safety issues.
• Being a positive role model for children and staff.
• Assisting in supervising and clearing the dining hall and maintaining confidentiality.
