Job summary

St Thomas CofE Primary Academy in Boston is seeking a reliable Midday Meals Assistant to join the team. The role is 7.5 hours per week during term-time, Monday to Friday, to serve and supervise pupils during lunchtime.

You will set up the hall, serve meals, supervise pupils, and assist with post-meal cleaning. Training in Food Hygiene & Allergy may be provided; a DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the hall/classroom for meals, arranging tables, chairs and cutlery.
• Serve meals to pupils and ensure correct meals are provided.
• Supervise pupils in the hall, classroom and during outdoor playtime.
• Be aware of medical or dietary needs of pupils in your care.
• Help clean the hall and classroom after meals.

About this Role

We are seeking a hardworking and flexible person to join our Midday Meals team at St Thomas C of E Primary Academy start date to be confirmed.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 1 hour and 30 minutes per day, 7.5 hours per week (during term-time) to serve and to supervise children during their lunch period.

Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to teamwork is essential, as you will be joining a group of hardworking colleagues.

Roles and responsibilities:

• To set up the hall/ classroom on arrival - putting out tables, chairs and cutlery.
• To serve food to pupils ensuring that all pupils receive the meals that the parents have ordered.
• To supervise the pupils either in the hall or classroom.
• To supervise and interact with pupils during outdoor playtime.
• To be aware of any medical/dietary needs of those pupils in your care.
• To help clean the hall and classroom after the meals have been eaten.
