Job summary

St Michael’s Primary Academy in Exeter is seeking a Mealtime Assistant to supervise pupils during lunchtimes, organise the dinner queue and help run play activities.

You will set up the dining hall, lead play in the playground, and support pupils’ wellbeing with a caring approach to ensure a safe, structured mealtime environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dining hall.
• Set up and lead play activities in the playground.
• Supervise all pupils during mealtime and organise the dinner queue.
• Co-ordinate play for pupils.
• Assist with the wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime.
• Support supervision of children during lunch and play, ensuring caring provision.

We are looking for caring individual who can lead play, interact with the children and undertake the responsibility of supervising and ensuring the safety of the children at all times.

The main duties of the role are:

• Set up the dining hall


• To set up and lead play activities in the playground.


• Supervision of all pupils during their mealtime and organising the dinner queue


• To co-ordinate play for pupils.


• To assist with the well-being of pupils during lunchtime.


• To support the supervision of children during lunch and play, using your initiative to ensure caring quality provision is continuously made.
