Job summary

The Southfield Trust in Eastbourne is seeking a Relief MDSA to support classroom staff and pupils. The role covers lunch periods and provides personal care and classroom assistance, with a pro rata salary for term-time work.

Two hours daily, five days weekly (10 hours). A permanent term-time contract is offered, with a six-month probation and DBS checks as standard. Site coverage across six locations is possible.

Responsibilities

• Covering the staff lunch period within the classroom and outside spaces.
• Providing support to pupils with lunches and providing personal care.
• Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitoring and recording student progress.
• Relief TA contract is given with potential for additional hours if needed by the school.
• Site flexibility: may work at any of the six sites for cover or permanent roles.
