Dennington CE Primary School in Dennington, Woodbridge, Suffolk is seeking a Midday Supervisor on a permanent, part-time basis.

The role involves supervising pupils during lunch, ensuring safety, basic cleaning duties in dining areas and supporting staff during mealtimes and playtime. A satisfactory enhanced DBS check and two references will be required. Closing date: 5pm, 13 November 2026.

Responsabilidades

• To ensure the safety, general welfare and conduct of pupils during the midday break period.
• Basic cleaning and general duties in and around dining areas.
• Supervising pupils at mealtimes and helping infants with packaging or food preparation.
• Cleaning up spillages and wiping tables; putting away chairs and sweeping.
• Overseeing playtime and monitoring safety of activities.
• Report accidents/incidents as required and follow Safeguarding policies.

Dennington CE Primary School is looking for a Midday Supervisor.

Role

To ensure the safety, general welfare and conduct of pupils during the midday break period. Basic cleaning and general duties in and around dining areas.

Main responsibilities and duties

• putting out chairs and tables

• supervising pupils at mealtimes – encouraging good table manners and helping infants to open packaging or cut up food

• cleaning up spillages and wiping down tables

• putting away chairs and tables and sweeping

• overseeing children in the playground or during wet play and monitoring the safety and suitability of activities

• following the school’s Safeguarding and Behaviour Policies to ensure that children are safe and have positive interactions with their peers and adults alike

• working alongside other adults in school including teachers, teaching assistants and senior leadership to promote the school’s values and ethos

• making sure children who are ill or injured receive appropriate medical attention and reporting accidents/incidents as required.

The position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. If successful, two references will be obtained.
