Job summary

Birley Spa Primary Academy invites applications for a Midday Supervisor to support pupils at lunchtime in the dining hall and on the playground. The role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive environment and promoting positive play during the school day.

This role is vital in supporting our pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, happy, and inclusive environment both in the dining hall and on the playground.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervising children in the dining hall, playground, and around the school site during lunchtime
2. Encouraging positive behaviour and play, helping pupils to develop social skills
3. Promoting the school’s values and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils
4. Assisting with minor first aid (training provided)
5. Ensuring the lunchtime period runs smoothly and safely
