Job summary

Wigmore Primary invites applications for a Part-Time Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team. You will supervise pupils aged 5–11 during lunch in the dining hall and monitor safety and behaviour in the playground from 11:30 to 1:30 daily. Experience with children and a caring approach are valued, with training offered if needed.

The role is term-time, 10 hours per week, with two positions available. Start ASAP; interview dates TBC.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children is advantageous.
• First aid qualification is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children having lunch in the dining hall.
• Oversee safety and behaviour of pupils aged 5 to 11 in dining hall and playground (11:30–13:30).
• Interact with children and support their play in the playground.
• Assist with supervising play and ensuring a fun, safe environment during lunch break.

About this Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and dedicated team, who will ensure a fun, safe and secure environment for our pupils.

We are looking for someone who is kind, caring and who can use their initiative to make the lunch break, fun, enjoyable and safe for the children.

You will be able to create excellent relationships with children, support positive behaviour and work as part of a friendly team.

Experience of working with children would be an advantage, as would a first aid qualification, but is not essential as we will offer training.

The successful candidate will be required to supervise children having lunch in the dining hall and to oversee the safety and behaviour of pupils aged 5 to 11 years in the dining hall and playground from 11.30 to 1.30 each day.

The Midday Supervisor would also be required to interact and support the play of the children within the playground.
