Job summary

Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derby is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to support pupils during lunch hours. You will help prepare the dining hall, supervise meals, and provide a listening ear to pupils requiring support, contributing to a calm and orderly lunchtime experience.

The role forms part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust, offering access to regular CPD, a supportive community, and commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• Prepare the dining hall ready for lunch.
• Clean tables and sweep in the dining hall.
• Providing a ‘listening ear’ for pupils who need them.
• Other administrative/supervisory tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining hall for lunch service.
• Monitor pupils during lunchtime and support safe, orderly dining.
• Assist with basic tasks to ensure a smooth lunchtime routine.
• Support staff as needed during the midday period.

Situated in the beautiful Darley Abbey area on the outskirts of Derby, Saint Benedict is the city’s only Catholic Secondary school. We serve a wonderfully diverse community of students who come from over forty countries around the world and who come from all parts of Derby and beyond.
