Job summary

Summerlea Primary School, part of the Schoolsworks Academy Trust, is seeking a Midday Meals Supervisor to supervise lunchtimes from 12:00 to 13:00, Monday to Friday, during 38 weeks plus 5.8 weeks annual leave. The role is 5 hours per week, term time only, with a pro rata salary at NJC Grade 2 SCP 3.

The successful candidate will promote positive play, teamwork and friendship, provide pastoral support, and set out tables and pack away at the end of lunch so the hall is ready for afternoon

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with primary school children during lunchtimes is desirable.
• Ability to promote positive play, teamwork and friendship among pupils.
• Willingness to assist with pastoral care and supervise lunch activities.

Hours: 5.00 hours per week, term time only; Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 1.00pm (38 weeks plus 5.8 weeks annual leave entitlement)

Salary: NJC Grade 2, SCP 3, £25,614 p.a. pro rata. Actual starting salary - £2,915.52 p.a.

We are looking for positive, a caring and well‑motivated Midday Meals Supervisor to work within this friendly and supportive school. In particular, we are looking for supervisors to support children at lunchtimes in promoting positive play, teamwork, and friendship, as well as supporting children with their pastoral care. You will also be required to set out tables and pack away at the end of the lunch session, ensuring the hall is ready for afternoon activities.
