Job summary

Victorious Academies Trust is appointing 2 Midday Assistants to join Yew Tree Primary School in Newtonmoor. The roles run during term time with a 6.15-hour week profile, starting November 2026, on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.

Successful candidates will supervise lunch, playgrounds and classrooms, fostering a healthy, safe school environment. Ideal applicants will model positive behaviour, engage children in varied play, and provide basic first aid and sickness support under

• Have a positive approach to behaviour management and help to ensure lunchtimes remain a safe and positive experience for all children.

Details about the role:

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint 2 Midday Assistants at Yew Tree Primary School.

Our Trust’s vision is to support young people to develop the aspiration and motivation to be successful; we have high ambitions for all young people in our schools and all roles within our Trust are central to ensuring that we work to support this.

To start November 2026

Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.2027

Term Time Only

Hours per week: 6.15

Grade A point 3 - Actual Paid Salary: £3,805

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the children in the dinner hall, playground and classrooms during wet weather
• Be able to develop and maintain positive relationships
• Enjoy engaging children in a range of play activities
• To administer basic first aid and deal with sickness, in accordance with training provided. Report and record accidents as required through the associated health & safety procedures
• Have a positive approach to behaviour management and help to ensure lunchtimes remain a safe and positive experience for all children
