Job summary

Katherines Primary Academy and Nursery is seeking a Midday Assistant to join our team. The role involves supervising pupils in the dinner hall and outside, promoting positive behaviour and supporting play leaders by organising games.

The successful candidate should enjoy working with children, have good communication skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This maternity cover post is for 5 lunchtimes per week during term time.

Qualifications

• Proven communication skills and ability to engage with children.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently as required.
• Experience or aptitude in promoting positive behaviour.
• Willingness to support lunchtime activities and play supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dinner hall and outdoor areas.
• Organise games and activities for children during lunchtimes.

Salary: Scale 2 Pt 3 FTE £25,525 inc fringe, term time. Actual Salary £4018.69

Working hours: 7.5 hours per week

Katherines Primary Academy are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly and effective Midday Assistant to join our team. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant must promote positive behaviour as well as support play leaders by organising and playing games with the children.

The successful candidate will need to ensure the safety and good conduct of pupils in both the dinner hall and outside areas. They should enjoy working with children and have good communication skills.

The post is for 5 lunchtimes per week, term time only.
