Job summary

Mission Grove Primary School in London is seeking a dedicated Midday Assistant to join our friendly team and help provide a safe, enjoyable lunchtime for pupils.

You will supervise pupils, support positive behaviour, assist with mealtimes and promote healthy habits, while contributing to a constructive play environment and welfare for all learners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and other lunchtime areas.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils in following school expectations.
• Assist children during mealtimes and promote healthy eating habits.
• Help organise and facilitate constructive play activities.
• Support pupils in resolving minor disagreements and encourage positive friendships.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils throughout the lunchtime period.
• Respond appropriately to accidents and incidents, following school procedures.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils' welfare and inclusion.
• Promote a positive, caring and respectful atmosphere across the school.

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Midday Assistant to join our friendly team and play an important role in supporting pupils during lunchtime.

The Role

As a Midday Assistant, you will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that lunchtime is safe, enjoyable and well organised.
