Job summary

Longford Primary Academy is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Midday Supervisor. You will help monitor pupil behaviour and ensure safety during the lunch break, working closely with staff to support a nurturing environment.

We value a caring, collaborative approach and expect you to promote healthy eating and safeguarding throughout the day. This post is based on site and aligns with our PEACE values.

Qualifications

• Motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a caring team.
• Experience in supervising children and safeguarding is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities and maintain health, safety, welfare and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break.
• Report incidents in line with school policy.
• Assist in supervising other midday break activities, including setting out and storing equipment.
• Encourage pupils to select and eat healthy balanced meals.
• Clean up spillages of food or liquid during meal service.
• Wipe down tables and clean dining areas between meals.
• Undertake similar work at other times, such as before and after school.
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures.
• Any other duties appropriate to the post.

Job Purpose

To work as part of a team monitoring pupil behaviour during the midday break.
