Job summary

St Saviour's CofE Academy, in partnership with St Bart's Multi Academy Trust, invites applications for a midday supervisor to monitor pupil behaviour and support safe, healthy lunchbreaks. Join a caring team and contribute to a warm, inclusive environment.

The role focuses on supervising activities, reporting incidents, assisting with meals, promoting healthy eating, and safeguarding children in line with academy policy.

Qualifications

• Monitoring pupil behaviour during midday break.
• Promoting safeguarding and welfare in line with academy policy.
• Ability to work as part of a caring, supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities and maintain health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break, with regard to special or additional needs.
• Report incidents in line with school policy.
• Assist in supervising other activities during the midday break, including setting out and storing equipment.
• Encourage pupils to select and eat healthy, balanced meals.
• Clean up spillages of food or liquid during meal service.
• Wipe down tables and clean dining areas between meals.
• Undertake similar work at other times, such as before and after school.
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures.
• Any other duties appropriate to the post.

Job Purpose
