Design4Retail Ltd. seeks a dedicated Project Manager to oversee multiple retail fit-out projects from concept through installation, primarily in the UK with occasional international work.
You’ll liaise between client accounts, design, manufacture and installation teams, ensuring schedules, budgets and quality are met. The role is office-based with visits to supplier venues and sites, requiring flexibility to work outside standard hours and travel as projects demand.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team — someone who can juggle multiple projects, build strong relationships, and turn our creative ideas into real-life, exceptional retail experiences.
We are Design4Retail (D4R). We design retail experiences that translate brand stories into engaging, physical spaces — taking projects from concept through to installation, UK wide and occasionally internationally. This has built us a reputation for delivering a high-quality, turnkey solution to our clientele, which includes many global brands and retailers.
As part of a dedicated team, you’ll work primarily on our largest client account, supplying store-by-store, bespoke-made branded shop fittings for Sports Direct’s new and refurbished stores across the UK and Europe, driven by Frasers Group’s ongoing annual programme.
This is predominantly an office-based role, with visits to supplier venues once or twice a week to check on progress, along with frequent visits to our local D4R QC/assembly warehouse in Lutterworth. Occasionally, towards the end of certain projects, you may need to attend an installation outside normal office hours to ensure it runs to plan, which could involve an overnight stay.
We operate a flexible working framework, with an expectation of around 80% of the week office-based (including necessary local activity), and 20% flexible to suit — an approach we’ve found works well for the team.
Due to the nature of the industry, this isn’t a typical 9-5:30 role. There will be occasions when you’ll need to be available outside standard office hours, either on-site or remotely, to support the team while installations are underway.
