Job Description Overview

Mustard is partnering with an established Hospitality Design Studio to recruit a Mid-Weight Interior Designer for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality interior design. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the success of the design firm.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior designers to develop innovative and functional design concepts
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction and installation
• Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furniture for each project
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors throughout the design process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in a professional design environment
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes
• Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills

Day-to-day Tasks

• Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and develop creative concepts
• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
• Research and source materials and furnishings
• Attend client meetings and present design proposals
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet client expectations and deadlines
