Job Description:

Juliana Custers Interiors is looking for a Mid-Weight / Senior Designer to join our team. Applications close *16th May*

Who we are:

We are an interior architecture practice predominantly working on high-end residential projects in London, with wonderful clients and opportunities for international travel.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking freelance Part 2/3 architectural designers, architects, or interior designers with strong technical abilities and experience in specifying for projects.

What you will do:

You’ll be working on interiors-focused projects with a strong architectural and construction element, including bespoke joinery. We work on both large- and small-scale properties and have quickly grown into a beautiful, design-led interior architecture studio.

You will work alongside the project lead and the company director, liaising with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and occasionally clients. Your role will involve helping to produce outstanding designs and presentations, bringing 2D and 3D concepts to life. You’ll report to the team daily and collaborate closely with everyone.

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in producing tender and joinery documentation is essential
  • A genuine passion for interior design and the desire to be part of a growing, dynamic team
  • Strong technical drawing skills and the ability to clearly communicate design intent through drawings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
  • High proficiency in 3D software is essential – SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape or 3DS Max are advantageous
  • Rendering skills are a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team, closely with the lead designer and studio head
  • Experience collaborating with the FF&E/specification team to ensure a cohesive scheme
  • Excellent written English and the ability to confidently present work to clients
  • Contractor position: 2–3 days per week in the studio to start, with potential for more
  • Available to start ASAP at our studio in Wimbledon, SW19 (please note: remote work is not initially available)
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • Salary dependent on experience

Please note: We have two very friendly golden retrievers in the studio—you must be comfortable around dogs.
