The Role

We’re looking for a middleweight designer to join our in-house creative team on a short-term basis over the summer. You’ll work on projects including campaigns, reports, editorial design, and digital content.

This hands-on role involves contributing to work that supports our mission in health, equity, and the arts. We seek someone with creative flair, attention to detail, and the ability to work within brand guidelines while bringing fresh ideas.

Key Responsibilities

• Design print and digital assets (social media graphics, reports, infographics, presentations)
• Collaborate with internal teams such as communications, policy, and programmes
• Follow and develop creative work within our brand and accessibility guidelines
• Respond constructively to feedback and adapt designs accordingly
• Contribute ideas to creative briefs and planning discussions

About You

We are especially interested in designers with experience in the charity, health, or arts sectors, and those who value accessibility and inclusion.

You should have:

• 3–5 years of professional design experience
• A strong portfolio showcasing print and digital work
• Proven ability to design for accessibility (contrast, legibility, alt text, etc.)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma
• Experience collaborating with non-design stakeholders
• Awareness of and sensitivity to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Nice to have:

• Experience with motion design (e.g., After Effects)
• Experience in editorial or publication design
• Knowledge of user-centered or co-design approaches
