Job description

Role - C# / WPF / WCF / Winform Developer

Duration - 6 months with likely extension

Location - Remote / Canary Wharf

Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding business requirements and designing application structures.
  2. Business data analysis and programming WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) applications in Visual C#.NET for both Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  3. Testing applications with users and supporting deployment through Development, QA, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments.
  4. Supporting users and creating operation documents including user manuals.
  5. Maintaining and supporting existing WinForms (C#.NET) applications, as well as applications written in MS VBA for Excel and Access, MS VB, and macros.
  6. Defining database objects in collaboration with Database Administrators in London and New York.
  7. Providing scripts for database inquiries using T-SQL and PL/SQL for data analysis.
  8. Setting up system distribution methods to Citrix and application servers for web and Windows applications.
  9. Troubleshooting system failures related to Windows OS, IIS, and other environments, liaising with support teams as needed.
  10. Following team programming policies and updating MS .NET Framework and Visual Studio platforms.
  11. Coordinating with support teams including development, technical support, networking, infrastructure, and DBAs.
  12. Assessing and managing data processing loads on SQL and Oracle databases.
  13. Rolling out application changes in coordination with the Release Manager, maintaining change history.
