This isn’t just another testing role. No legacy systems slowing you down. No corporate red tape blocking innovation. No coasting. This is about building robust, high-quality payment solutions from the ground up, embedding quality into our development lifecycle. Fast.
We’re Navro, a rapidly scaling B2B payments startup, and we’re looking for an organised, detailed, self-starting Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support our Engineering Team. This is your chance to contribute to our testing strategy, drive automation, and ensure our cutting-edge platform is reliable and performs flawlessly. You won't have layers of approval slowing you down. You will have the freedom to make real, impactful contributions to quality from day one. This isn’t a passenger role. We’re bringing you in for your technical skills, your quality-first mindset, and your drive to help us build exceptional products.
Who we are
We are transforming payments for global platforms and e-commerce businesses. As the world’s first payments curation platform, we simplify cross-border transactions by uniting best-in-class infrastructure into a seamless ecosystem, enabling businesses to scale and operate effortlessly across borders. Cross-border workforce payments are slow, expensive, and outdated. We can’t be. Businesses rely on us to pay their people accurately and on time - contractors, freelancers, and employees across the globe. When we say we’ll deliver, failure isn’t an option. If we don’t do what we said we would, people don’t get paid - not just a transaction delayed, but real workers left without wages. That means a developer in Argentina missing their paycheck, a freelancer in the Philippines unable to pay rent, or a contractor in Poland unable to get to work. No excuses. No passengers. No tolerance for politics or mediocrity.
The Role
As an SDET at Navro, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge payment services. You'll be responsible for developing and automating software test plans and test cases. You will contribute to continuous improvement through active participation in retrospectives, suggesting innovations, and helping to keep our testing processes modern and effective
Requirements
What This Role Demands
You Own It – You’re accountable for the quality of your tests, the clarity of your bug reports, and the overall reliability of the features you test. If a critical bug slips through, you help figure out why and how to prevent it next time.
You Ask the Hard Questions – You don’t just test requirements; you question assumptions and explore edge cases. Why does it work this way? What happens if...? How can we make this more robust?
You Fix What’s Broken (or Prevent it from Breaking!) – No waiting for permission. If test coverage is lacking or a manual process can be automated, you identify it, propose solutions, and help implement them.
You’re Hands-On – One minute you’re writing automation scripts, the next you’re executing complex test scenarios, analyzing failures, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
You Thrive in Chaos – Startups are dynamic. Requirements evolve, priorities shift, and you need to adapt your testing approach quickly and efficiently. You bring structure to your testing without getting bogged down.
You Handle the Pressure – Tight release cycles. Complex systems. You manage the pressure to deliver thorough testing, provide timely feedback, and ensure quality under deadlines.
You’re Here for the Journey – This is career-defining. It’s challenging, rewarding, and vital to our success. If you’re ready to grow your skills and contribute to a high-quality platform at Navro, let’s build something amazing together.
What You’ll Be Doing:
What We’re Looking For
Testing Aficionado: Good understanding of testing principles, including functional, component, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Detail-Obsessed: You have a keen eye for detail to identify issues and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Collaborator Extraordinaire: You work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is a shared responsibility.
Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues and identify root causes.
Experience in the payments or FinTech domain is a mandatory requirement for this role
You may not possess every single required skill listed, and that's perfectly fine. If you have most of them, along with grit, passion, a desire to learn quickly, and the willingness to get stuck in, we encourage you to apply.
Ready to Build Something Big?
This is your chance to leave your mark. If you’re ready to lead, build, and grow with the intensity that only startups offer, we want to hear from you.
Apply now and be part of Navro’s journey to revolutionise payments with us.
As part of this role you will receive the following:
