Job summary

AdventHealth in Manchester, KY is hiring a patient care technician to support nurses and care teams in delivering high-quality patient care. You will take vital signs, document in the EMR, and assist with procedures while complying with safety and infection-control policies.

Strong communication with patients and families, plus the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospital setting, are essential. BLS is required; CNA/CPCT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required].
• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred].
• BLS required; CNA/CPCT credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record.
• Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
• Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Description:
